Senior Research Operations Processor (54) - Lynn

To properly research and adjust errors received from internal and external customers, Correspondent Banks, Federal Reserve Bank, Same Day Settlement Banks and other Financial Institutions, which include but are not limited to:

* Locating and posting missing or improperly processed deposits and payments.​
* Making necessary corrections to customer, interbank, general ledger and any other necessary account types to rectify encoding and/​or processing errors.​
* Review and correct deposit correction entries and teller change errors.​
* Determine proper disposition and process correcting entries for items processed twice.​
* Examine claims for improperly posted items and process correcting entries.​
* Process corrections received from Federal Reserve Bank regarding bonds redeemed incorrectly.​
* Decipher entries and correct items that have been processed in reverse.​
* Provide necessary Same Day Settlement documentation to various banking institutions.​
* Perform adjustments by affecting SDS institutions wire deposit figures.​
* Process adjustment letters and entries to Correspondent Banks, Federal Reserve Bank, SDS Banks or other financial institutions.​
* Assist in the location of teller errors and recommend probable solutions.​
* Maintain adjustment database to ensure proper entries are recorded and documented.​
* Perform daily balancing of adjustment entries to general ledger figures.​
* Ensure timely clearing of adjustment entries contained in a variety of general ledger accounts.​
* Process Credit Reference requests by performing account inquiries by using various reports and host screens
* Complete Audit Confirmations by searching various system reports to obtain the required data



Responsible for processing State and Federal Tax Levies by:

* Performing account inquiries utilizing the host application.​
* Determining accounts subject to Levy, in accordance with current Federal and State regulations and compliance rulings.​
* Placing holds on appropriate accounts, and withdrawing funds from customer accounts as deemed applicable.​
* Monitoring activity on accounts as required by state laws.​
* Providing daily reports to senior management with regard to levy activity.​



Completing deposit and loan balance confirmations by:

* Performing account inquiries through various host screens.​
* Searching optical system reports for necessary information.​



Responsible for action and follow-up on legal requests by:

* Maintaining database for all legal documentation and requests received.​
* Processing and retaining all official documents, subpoenas, trustee summons for the IRS, Secret Service, and other government requests or agencies.​
* Collecting necessary data and copies of documents for court cases and government requests.​

* ACH processing



Candidate must be able to learn various applications/​software, including but not limited to:

* Optima 3 image system
* Host systems - Metavante Insight, ECM and the like
* Microfilm and microfiche in various formats

Required Experience

* Prior experience in a Financial Institution strongly recommended.​
* Basic knowledge of accounting and balancing principles.​
