Account Executive - Diagnostics (MidAtlantic Territory)
This position will be responsible for promoting, selling, and support of Division products in the targeted clinical markets. The successful individual will be interfacing with customers to maintain and increase business in the assigned territory as well performing the following activities: territory development and lead generation (account events around new placements, replacements and displacements).
* Must consistently meet or exceed territory sales goals and successful completion of all activities in Sales Territory Plan, measured by territory sales performance, lead generation quantification, and generation of new customers (i.e. cultivating and growing customer base).
* Develop and maintain product and market knowledge.
* Provide accurate reports and paperwork that include Territory Plan, Sales Forecast, LAMP account documentation, etc.
* Provide information to Director of National Sales including: competitive information, market trends, and customer needs. Participate in planning activities that include market development sales planning, and pre-sales application training and strategizing for new kits and reagent opportunities.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
* 40% or more overnight travel.
Skills/Qualifications:

* BS/BA degree – scientific or technical degree preferred.
* Medical Technology, biomedical research or equivalent certification a plus.
* Six or more years of proven sales experience. Sales experience in diagnostic field required..
* Immunology/microbiology experience preferred.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Documented track record of success, as evidenced by stacked rankings, awards, commendations, etc.
* Must be able to qualify leads by participating in prospecting potential customers and customer discovery during initial sales calls. Must be able to perform technical presentations, instrument and reagent demonstrations, and address potential technical issues.
* Expert level proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems for PC’s. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and current knowledge of medical LIMs systems.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
