Goodrich ISR Systems has an immediate opening for an experienced Image Scientist with skills and interests directed toward the development of advanced tools and techniques to aid in the exploitation of multispectral, electro-optical and high-resolution video surveillance and reconnaissance systems.

This position will report to the Manager of Image Science, and join our multi-disciplined team developing visualization techniques, optimizing image quality and evaluating new system image performance requirements. The focus and goal of our activities is to enable the rapid fusion of data from multiple sources into actionable intelligence information. Specific areas of current interest include:
* Develop techniques to monitor and enhance electro-optical and multispectral imaging system performance from both objective and subjective perspectives; derive spectral classification tools, metrics for image quality assessment and automatic anomaly detection, geospatial registration, multi-source fusion
* Contribute to the optimization and development of algorithms and image processing methods for target tracking, spectral calibration, system performance enhancements and quality metrics
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary team of software and system engineers to develop concepts and technologies for future processing, exploitation and dissemination (PED) systems
* Image processing algorithm development for MSI and motion imaging sensors
* Image quality monitoring, assessment, optimization and artifact/root cause analysis
* Sensor/system analysis and simulation
* Advanced concept development for processing, exploitation and dissemination technologies involving optimmization of human interactions

The qualities of the successful candidate will include:
* Minimum of a BS degree (MS preferred) in Imaging Science, Remote Sensing or a related image-based field of study
* At least five years of relevant industry experience in an engineering or scientific capacity developing tools and techniques for image analysis and system optimization (aerospace, medical, remote sensing, etc.)
* In-depth knowledge of imaging system characteristics with ability to assess and quantify tradeoffs
* Programming experience in IDL or Matlab (C, C++, Python a plus)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; leadership experience a plus
* All applicants are required to show proof of U.S. citizenship. In addition, this position is contingent upon applicant receiving approved level of security clearance.
* 20-30% domestic travel is required
