Requirements and Skills:
Fiserv Frontier Recon Consultant
To provide comprehensive SME and guide us with experience in the reconciliations area, in banking and brokerage industries;
To design and implement recon solutions following the best practices and technologies
To demonstrate a combination of architectural vision and hands-on knowledge to build recons from end to end
To mentor, direct and support key business and technology staff
Provide recon application related training to business and technology as needed.
Be capable of executing recon clean-up, account reconfiguration and matching criteria optimization, and assisting in the migration to Oracle
Be capable of building and optimize the most complicated high volume recons
Ability to be able to take a project from its early stages all the way to its implementation independently and effectively.
Demonstrate ability to implement projects following SDLC lifecycle methodology and within the given timeframes and constraints.
Ability to handle multiple projects and coordinate with all the stake holders to bring the projects to its successful implementation state.
1. Requirement Gathering & Functional Requirements Creation
Coordinate with business owners and analysts to review requirements and examine products and process related implementations.
Provide and apply best practices to utilize the Frontier application to its maximum potential and marry it to operation processes.
Business Process Review & Re-engineering
Provide ongoing support to re-engineer recon implementations across domains with his superior product knowledge.
Provide ongoing review of compliance and regulatory factors within each recon implementation and mitigate the risk of those.
Assist us in building a shared services center to centralize the reconciliation across the firm.
Provide reconciliation solutions for Data enrichments and normalizations.
1. Technical Design and Implementation
Knowledgeable and hands on experience in software technologies in conjunction with banking and brokerage industries reconciliation areas.
Fiserv*s Frontier Application Software experience is a big plus.
i. Understand Account Balance Pool structure
ii. Hands on experience on the various modules including the Web Client module
iii. Ability to create Recons using Frontier from scratch
iv. Setup and optimize match passes and match criteria down to thread level.
v. Hands on experience with their Performance Manager product are also a plus.
Should have hands on experience in Web technologies (html, xml/xslt, jsp etc.)
Good knowledge, including hands on experience of oracle is expected.
Experience in Java and Java Enterprise technologies is a must.
Knowledge on C/C++, .NET and VB Scripts are a plus.
Knowledge and use of Regular Expressions is also expected.
Documentation of reconciliation requires tools experience in tools such as Visio, Wiki and Ishare. Candidate is expected to have hands on experience in all of these.
Recon design and development expectation using Fiserv*s Frontier product a big plus
Design and document recons on firm, department, pool and accounts level, and related data loading, enrichment and reporting processes;
Create and maintain universal reason codes, standardized lookup tables and all other reference data definitions;
Create recon exception work queues including propose, approval and certification, which is Frontier specific and challenging to setup correctly;
Help build custom tools / scripts to identify recon process efficiency gain / loss on the ongoing basis;
Optimize data extractions from Frontier DB to build Performance Manager reports and dashboards;
Work with Fiserv*s Product support team to get defects, and enhancements applied periodically as part of our recon maintenance;
Build process and components to better support globalized transactions in cash or securities.
Provide improvement ideas in the following areas
Complex Matching
Data ingestion and extraction
Data enrichment and normalization
Custom database extensions
Shared services opportunities
Process automation
Provide assistance in maintaining
Account Balance Pool structure
On boarding new reconciliations
Sun setting obsolete reconciliations
