Performance Architect
IntraLinks is approximately 14 years old with 2009 revenue of $142M. We create business applications that are accessed through the internet (SaaS). We have an established book of business with financial services and pharmaceutical companies. We are expanding through a vertical strategy; recent verticals include energy and legal services. With the exception of 2008/9, growth has been between 20% and 50% since 2003. IntraLinks is currently searching for a Performance Architect to join our team.
Performance Architect
Summary:
Performance architect will work with development, operations and performance testing teams to create and ensure high performing, scalable solutions. Focus of this role will be on performance analysis and system architecture, working cross functionally to implement platform and process improvements for performance, scalability and reliability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and aid performance testing team:
á Review test plans for coverage and completeness
á Review test results and report analysis
Identify key performance indicators and java instrumentation for development, test and production systems
Analyze data from development, test and production to determine bottlenecks, identify problems and areas for performance improvements
Work with Architecture team to design highly scalable, available system architecture
Recommend platform and product changes to improve application performance and scalability
Recommend process improvements for performance testing and methodology
Job Requirements:
á Performance testing methodology
á Architectural design principles for application scalability and reliability
á Java profiling, garbage collection tuning and memory leak analysis
á Database performance analysis
á Relational Database Design
á J2EE application server administration, configuration and tuning
á Strong programming skills in C, Java or JavaScript
Qualifications:
Educational Level Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
Minimum Years and Kind of Work Experience: 12-15 years of experience in performance testing and/or engineering
