To manage the Milwaukee Brewery Quality Services Department. To ensure that all programs and procedures designed to identify and isolate substandard product are implemented and effective. To coordinate Quality Services Department activities so that plant operations is supported by early problem-identification, problem solving and problem-prevention. To achieve the goal of minimizing the production of substandard product and maximizing operating efficiency. Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent education/work experience in Quality/Bioligy/Chemistry, or Bachelor of Business Administration or Bachelor of Science in Engineering. Additional Business Management education preferred.Experience: Minimum of five (5) years in a front line supervisory position in a manufacturing environment, preferably union. Minimum of five (5) years in a managerial position leading a salaried, exempt workforce. A minimum of two (2) years experience in a corporate environment would be an added advantage.Must be able to manage the entire Quality Services Department effectively, including skills in the areas of budgeting, staffing, coordination and control, motivation of subordinates and communication. Must be an aggressive self-starter, who can manage without close support and supervision. Must be skilled in interpersonal relations with the ability to motivate and generate activity toward accomplishing goals from plant operating departments as well as within Quality Services. Must possess well developed problem-solving skills based upon an orderly, rational, analytical approach to problems. Must be able to coordinate the activities of problem identification, solution and prevention. A basic knowledge of the brewing industry as related to production processes, industrial relations, sales and distribution, and purchasing is desired. Must be familiar with the broad aspects of the sciences and with the techniques of statistical quality control methods including process capability study, process control charts, statistical sampling inspection and statistical design of experiments. Must have a basic knowledge of federal and state regulations concerning the sanitary operation of a food plant and 'Good Manufacturing Practices.'
