Senior Test Engineer to $95,000

Our client is growing and they need to add a Senior Test Engineer to their staff. This position defines, documents, analyzes, performs, and interprets developmental tests for new and/or modified products or product components. Our client makes durable consumer goods.
Requirement:
1. BS Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years experience in an engineering lab environment with supervisory experience.
2. Working knowledge of advanced statistical methods.
3. Must posses knowledge of engineering materials used in durable consumer products along with a familiarity of the mechanical properties of these materials.
4. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Duties:
1. Supports new product design teams through test development, data analysis, Design of Experiments (DOE) analytical techniques and competitor benchmarking.
2. Interpret performance data and make formal recommendations to product design teams.
3. Support product marketing by exploring extremes in product performance to highlight competitive advantage.
4. Develop and coordinate the building of test fixtures.
5. Maintains test procedures and equipment.
6. Manage multiple projects within design specifications and budget restrictions.
7. Acts as a technical resource to other departments regarding test issues.
8. Manages direct reports. Provides performance feedback to cross functional team members for performance reviews.
