Counselor/Coordinator of Sexual Violence Prevention and Treatment
The Sexual Violence Coordinator assumes primary leadership in the Counseling Center for coordinating the services that address sexual violence of students. This includes victims, perpetrators, and others affected by sexual violence. The coordinator ensures that clinical and outreach services meet the needs of the campus. This position also is a generalist counselor who provides professional counseling services for Marquette students.
Essential Functions:
Coordinate prevention efforts aimed at sexual violence and the treatment of survivors of sexual violence. Network both at Marquette and in the local community Individual counseling: educational, vocational and psychological. Group counseling. Crisis intervention.
Required:
Masters or Doctoral degree in a psychology/counseling field and experience as a generalist with young adults.
Preferred:
Experience with sexual violence treatment and prevention, past work counseling in a college setting, state license or certification, expertise with some of the following issues: cross cultural counseling, eating disorders, career counseling, alcohol and drug abuse treatment, and/or prevention education.
