Registered Nurse 2 NeuroICU
T he Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Rush is a 21-bed unit staffed by nurses who have received Magnet Nursing Excellence recognition. The pace is stimulating, the work challenging and the commitment is high. We are extraordinarily proud of our unit and hope that you will choose to become part of our team. We provide multidisciplinary care to critically ill patients with a variety of neurological problems. Our patient population is representative of the following pathologies: brain tumors, cerebral aneurysms, vascular malformations, spinal abnormalities, stroke, and degenerative neurological disorders. These pathologies are frequently treated in conjunction with multisystem disorders which include acute MI, CHF, cardiac arrhythmia's, renal failure and pulmonary complications. Our patient population is diverse, ranging from high-risk pregnancy to the geriatric patients.
Education/Special Skills Required:Bachelors degree and 1-2yrs critical care experience required.
