Our client is growing and they need to add a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to their staff.  This position contributes to the design and development of new products, support of existing products and support of the implementation of new technology into the product line. This position interfaces with multiple Departments within product development, advanced engineering, manufacturing, quality and sourcing functions.  This is a highly visible position and could lead to a Project Leader position within 2 years for the right person.  The ability to multi-task and be a clear communicator are essential.

 

Requirements:

1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field and plus five years of related experience.

2. Experience with firmware development and C Programming

3.  Must have circuit design and debug experience.

4.  The more battery and battery powered tool, appliance, high end toy experience you have the better.  These are not your average AAA, AA, B,C or D batteries.

5.  Basic understanding of microcontrollers, motors and motor controls

 

Duties:1.  On a project basis, lead design projects providing direction, guidance and engineering expertise to team members in the development of batteries for durable consumer products and related motor controls.

2.  Schedule and maintain through leadership adherence to set timelines, document project meetings and make formal presentations regarding project status.

3.  Use of Spice or similar circuit analysis software, circuit layout software, microcomputer based control schemes, phase and PWM motor controls, feedback systems in your engineering designs

4.  Responsible for the design and development of software and/or hardware systems, and development of product prototypes

5.  Interact with suppliers to develop part / product specifications that meet performance requirements while also falling within manufacturing process capability.

6.  Design new experiments and test for systems and oversee the execution of these
