Assistant Project Manager

Assistant Project Manager

Amason & Associates, Inc., a southeast regional General Contracting firm, is in search of an Assistant Project Manager who has experience in commercial and industrial construction. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

·         Supporting Project Managers

·         Preconstruction Planning

·         Assisting in the estimating process

·         Subcontractor selection and buy-out

·         Scheduling

·         Submittal review

·         Implementation and administration of all phases of the project

·         Project close-out

 

Qualifications:

 

·         Held similar position with General Contractor or Construction Management firm

·         Knowledge and ability to read and understand construction specifications and drawings

·         Scheduling experience

·         Thorough knowledge of construction related computer software

·         Able to perform the above responsibilities

 

 

Working with the Project Manager and Field Superintendent, an Assistant Project Manager will assist with ensuring that project objectives are completed within, or better than, prescribed project schedules and cost parameters.  It has been our experience that candidates that possess a B.S in Building Science or Engineering (with an emphasis on construction management) are most successful.
