Location: Job location not provided Contact Address: 4770 Grantswood RdIrondale,AL 35210 Fax: 205-951-2264 JobRefCode: 022245 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Project/Program Management Experience: 2+ to 5 Years       Job Description   SimplexGrinnell is a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of a comprehensive array of networked and integrated fire alarm and suppression, security, and communications systems.  Our continued success and growth has produced a need for a Sprinkler Construction Manager position in our district. Summary: The primary function of this position is to supervise the district sprinkler construction department to ensure customer satisfaction in regards to quality and timely service during installation projects and to coordinate the daily activities of sprinkler installers.  Responsibilities:  Develop and maintain schedules for manpower and equipment requirements for Sprinkler Projects. Work with Design department in the accurate production of installation drawings. Participate with estimating and sales teams during the proposal stages. Attend weekly project meeting. Ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable codes/regulations. Attend meetings with AHJ’s and customer representatives. Ensure that all employees comply with corporate safety programs.  Responsible for ensuring that employee safety training is thorough, complete, and up-to-date.  Identify safety issues and hazards and notify district safety officer of those conditions that require corrective actions. Minimum Qualifications:  Three to five years supervisory or management experience in a fire protection and integrated systems environment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications used in installation activities. Strong problem solving skills.  Ability to coach, motivate and teach others. Excellent communication skills written & verbal. Effective time management skills. Knowledge of fire codes, building codes and fire protection standards. Proficient with personal computer/applications software and Internet tools. Must adhere to and follow safety guidelines and policies at all times. Must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
