Technology Support Specialist

The role of the Technology Support Specialist is to provide technical support for a wide-range of technologies to effectively meet internal and external client requirements and to provide technical support and assistance to other IT staff members. Additionally, this position will have primary responsibility for supporting and maintaining imaging systems, scanners, image storage devices, related equipment and software. Roles and Primary Responsibilities: • Responsible for identifying, troubleshooting and solving problems related to the scanning system equipment and software, supporting and maintaining systems in good working order.

• Scans documents for production jobs on as needed basis and coordinating scheduling of such work with staff and managing production projects.

• Maintain various computer network equipment including but not limited to image servers, duplication equipment, scanning kiosk stations, pc hardware, and switches.

• Interface with service providers and various vendors as required in the troubleshooting of hardware and software.

• Accurately document all scanning and imaging system configurations, implementations and modifications.

• Assist practice support staff in preparation for case production and trial prep.

• Manipulation of image files, editing, touch up, auto-correction settings, formatting, indexing, media production, loading image files into various case management applications.

• Assist end users and provide backup support to the Help Desk; assists other IT personnel as necessary.

• Perform administrative duties and assist with special projects as required. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• Two to three years computer experience in a networking environment.

• Legal experience in a litigation environment a strong plus.

• MUST have a solid understanding of a wide-range of technology and demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational, time management, and customer service skills are a must.

• Self starter who works well independently as well as with others to achieve team goals in a fast paced environment.

• Flexibility to work extended hours and overnight travel as required.
