About the Job
Alloy Media + Marketing is a leading media and marketing services company catering to the youth and multicultural audience. Our primary customers are major entertainment, consumer products and technology companies looking to advertise to the youth demographic. We own and operate youth-focused media assets as well as provide promotional and placement agency services to our client base. We are looking to find a Senior Accountant for our Channel One Network group located in New York, NY.
Webby Award-winning ChannelOne.com seeks an experienced youth market project coordinator to join our fun, dedicated team. We are the Web home of Channel One News, a daily 12-minute newscast viewed by 6 million teens in high schools and junior highs.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with and provide support and analysis to sales team and senior management as needed.
* Review and maintain all revenue related analysis and client contracts.
* Calculate and record monthly advertising revenue and reconcile to forecast.
* Working with the commercial traffic team to resolve any discrepancy related to the client contracts.
* Prepare weekly sales forecast and tracking analysis as well as annual forecast.
* Calculate other revenue (production, foundation…) and related expenses monthly.
* Responsible for monthly commission calculation and accrual.
* Review and approve monthly client billing schedule.
* Responsible for month end close with all journal entries including monthly accruals.
* Responsible for monthly P&L variance analysis.
* Prepare monthly balance sheet accounts analysis.
* Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet and P&L variance analysis.
* Update accounting procedure documentations as necessary.
* Assist in various projects.
Requirements:
* 4+ years finance/accounting experience public and/or private.
* Licensed CPA or at least passed parts of CPA exam.
* Strong leadership who can grow into the manager’s position.
* Strong analytical and MS Excel skills.
* Strong team player and work independently.
* Be able to work under pressure and tight deadline.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Strong organizational skills, ability to handle details and the ability to multi-task.
