A leading manufacturer of high quality automotive parts, located in Seymour, Indiana, is seeking a qualified individual with effective interpersonal skills and strong work ethics to join our successful and expanding team in the following position: Mananger of Production Engineering (Exterior! Door Frames)This position is responsible for engineering related to planning, devising, and adapting methods to improve manufacturing processes. This includes the ability examine equipment, processes, and operations to determine safety, quality or productivity revisions for improvement. Responsible for monitoring changes and operations standards during product launches and regular production ensuring that established controls and policies are being followed. Provide direct reports with advice necessary to complete job duties and meet yearly section plan. Required skills and experience include strong communication skills (verbal and written), previous management responsibility, ability to convey messages and directions clearly, ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks, proven track record of coordinating and implementing new product launches meeting the required safety, quality and cost targets, basic understanding of finance and accounting, ability to read and comprehend technical documents and specifications, advanced problem solving ability, and understanding of basic manufacturing processes such as roll forming, bending, resistance welding, and arc welding. Preferred skills and experience include the ability to use basic CAD software, experience understanding/programming PLC logic, basic understanding/ application of TPS principles, and a basic understanding/application of six sigma principles. A Bachelor's Degree or related work experience is required. This position offers exciting challenges and growth opportunities.
