Manufacturing Supervisor
Responsible for the management of manufacturing department, as assigned, including work schedules, quality/quantity of output, employee performance, record keeping and meeting all Divisional objectives
Job Grade contingent upon experience.
Job Requirements:
Support, enforce, and apply safe work practices
Promote teamwork and positive work environment
Provide tools, remove obstacles, and optimize resources to meet production targets
Execute production schedule and manage process flow
Assign jobs and machines economically, using shipping schedule as a priority guideline
Maintain and order equipment/supplies to ensure smooth operations
Implement corrective action for improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unsafe conditions
Identify and resolve staffing needs to meet customer demands
Interview, hire, train, discipline, evaluate, and develop objectives with employees
Identify, facilitate, and coordinate training needs of employees in order to develop skills to allow for department flexibility and for personal development
Conduct meetings to inform employees of facility, company, and customer issues
Develop and promote cost reduction ideas and continuous improvement in processes and procedures
Complete reports as required
Effectively interact with technical, engineering, and other support staff to communicate and implement process flow enhancements
Ensure the review of blueprints and operation sheets for recent revisions
