Vessel Oiler/QMED

Job Description:

A Vessel Oiler/QMED is to have a valid United States Coast Guard Merchant Mariners Document and is responsible for on deck duties as well as learning the engineroom and maintaining engineroom equipment.

Duties:

*  Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.

*  Responsible for cleanliness, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and handling mooring lines.

*  Report the existence of all potentially hazardous conditions to protect self, passengers, fellow crewmembers and to prevent damage to the vessel.

*  Perform routine maintenance, repairs and handle ship's business.

*  Perform activities under the direct supervision of the Captain or Engineer of the vessel.

Skills/Specifications:

Foster Teamwork, Decision Making, Jusgement, Handles Pressure, and Basic Safety.

Requirements:

Must have a valid USCG Merchant Mariners Document (Z-Card) with the endorsement of Oiler or QMED.
