Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84104 Relocation Provided: Yes Education Level: Professional Position Description: Operations Manager Location: Salt Lake City, UT 84104 SUMMARY Location: UT - Salt Lake CityEducation Required: Not IndicatedExperience Required: Not IndicatedPosition Description:-Partner with Account Managers to proactively service the needs of key accounts and ensure on-time delivery of orders. -Travel with Account Manager as a representative of Boart Longyear’s Operations team to key accounts as needed. -Lead and influence efforts between multiple departments to drive down and fulfill existing backlog orders. -Effectively leverages resources and relationships across the business to accomplish tasks required to meet customer needs and business goals. Work in coordination with Global Operations Managers to identify and drive global operational improvement projects to simplify complex processes, measure global process performance and identify synergy and integration opportunities. Position Requirements:-5-7 years operations management experience in large firmwith management roles w/I Supply Chain or Logistics -A BS degree in Transportation / Logistics or Production Operations Management, APCIS certification a plus-Strong forecasting skills such as expediential smoothing, weighted average, linear programming-Superior PC skills – Access Database, Excel, minitab used in data manipulation-Strong communication skills - 1-2 years presentation experience taking complex mathematical models and translating them to all levels of management in a clear, actionable way-Demonstrated leadership -Has presented to large customer account execs-1-2 years developing and maintaining performance metrics and/or KPIs.
