MARTINREA MARTINREA INDUSTRIES, INC.​ North Vernon, IN A tier 1 automotive leader in the production of quality metal parts, assemblies, and modules of fluid management systems is seeking a qualified candidate for: Human Resource Generalist Position The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for but not limited to performing the duties of payroll, benefits, and other Human Resource administration to support the Human Resource Manager.​ Viable candidates should be able to perform the following: * Process the salaried and hourly payroll * Assist with the administration of the plants benefits programs * Administer the company's attendance program * Process wage garnishments, wage assignments, and child support payments as ordered by government authorities and enter the same into the payroll system * Maintain company documents and records, such as employee files and database, governmental reports and procedures.​ * Administer the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) program as well as the Short Term Disability program as required under federal law.​ Administration of said program shall include processing of all paperwork, coordination between Associates and health care providers, benefits continuation, and eligibility determination.​ * Participate in orientation for new associates to include developing and presenting some of the different segments of the orientation * Respond to all applications for Unemployment Insurance, prepare protests as required, and attend unemployment hearing as directed by the Human Resource Manager * Assist Human Resource Manager with employee engagement, safety, training and other development programs.​ * Process other employment data as needed * Responsible for travel arrangements and visitor meals.​ Qualifications or Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or other related program.​ * Minimum of 5 years experience or training related to defined job responsibilities * At minimum, a basic knowledge of manufacturing procedures and techniques, and familiarity with quality and safety concepts and procedures.​ * Excellent verbal and written communication skills Interested candidates may send their resume in confidence to: jobs.​northvernon@​martinrea.​com
