Position: Data Center Site Security Manager (SSM) – Microsoft Account
Reports to: Securitas Senior Security Manager, Redmond WA Branch
Location: Ashburn VA
Salary: $50,000 – 60,000 per annum, depending on qualifications
JOB SUMMARY: Manages the security services and related operations provided to the Microsoft Data Center location; including client service and problem resolution, service enhancement, operational effectiveness, access control, preparation of post orders, audit compliance, staffing, scheduling, supervision and training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

1. As a valuable member of the Global Security Team; is responsible for managing the physical security operations at a Microsoft Data Center, to include providing security management of high-value assets critical to Microsoft business.
2. Ensures the delivery of high-quality customer service for the Microsoft account; evaluates service quality, documents and initiates any necessary corrective action in a timely manner.
3. Develops, facilitates and delivers Quarterly Business Reviews for the Data Center.
4. Oversees, and is accountable for the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber staff; acts to ensure that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect; plans, assigns, and directs work; develops employees and carries out disciplinary actions in accordance with current policy.
5. Implements key performance indicators (KPI), tracking tools, scorecards and reporting methods in cooperation with the Senior Security Manager to enhance security team effectiveness and performance.
6. Meets regularly with Microsoft and Securitas management representatives for account reviews; addresses any actual or potential problems; supports security planning, assessments and surveys; coordinates review and update of post orders.
7. Provides input to company initiatives; promptly assists in the resolution of legal, financial, human resources, and administrative issues.
8. Consistently maintains the site documentation and follows standardized procedures to successfully complete unannounced audits.
9. Performs additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives.
10. Must be able to deliver on critical project deadlines, and meet regulatory audit and compliance requirements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY
Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
Education/Experience. Associate’s Degree and four or more years of responsible experience in the security industry and/or business management, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
· Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
· Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements for specific skills, certifications or authorizations specified for the assigned accounts.
· Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
· Knowledge of operations for a 24x7 signal monitoring Operations Center
· Knowledge of supervisory practices and procedures.
· Skill in staff supervision, including assigning work, scheduling and providing training and discipline.
· Ability to provide positive direction and motivation to improve staff performance.
· Understanding of a variety of security and safety devices and controls.
· Ability to track and maintain schedule assignments.
· Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
· Knowledge of business operations management and human resources administration.
· Use of personal computer and a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word and Excel) is required.
· Possess ability and demonstrate comfort level in working with state-of-the-art communication technologies such as Radio Over Internet Protocol (ROIP) Instant Messenger (IM), and Text Messaging.
· Ability to synthesize business/financial data and develop recommendations.
