We will assess candidates based on skills set and years of relevant technology experience.Job Description: Designing, implementing, and supporting Linux, Solaris, Juniper/Netscreen Firewalls, F5 load balancers, VMware and SAN based solutions. Participating on a variety of project teams to integrate and deploy infrastructure. Maintaining a thorough knowledge of Internet technologies and sharing that knowledge with team members and business partners. Developing and executing test plans and managing the test environment. Provides problem resolution and root cause analysis as well as proactive reporting and analysis to support the infrastructure. Using a combination of Open Source and commercial solutions to complete projects. Required Qualifications: Associates degree or higher in Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or related program -OR- 2+ years relevant work experience required. Experience with Internet protocols (i.e. TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, POP, FTP, HTTP, HTTPS and/or SSH). Experience working with Perl or Shell Scripting. Available to participate in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours system maintenance. Ability to lift computer equipment up to 50 pounds several times a week.UNIX/Linux Systems Administrator II:-All qualifications above and 1+ years experience Linux or Solaris Systems Administration experience in a production environment.UNIX/Linux Sr. Systems Administrator:- All qualifications above and 3+ years experience Linux or Solaris Systems Administration experience in a production environment.UNIX/Linux Systems Engineer:- All qualifications above and 4+ years experience Linux or Solaris Systems Administration experience in a production environment.UNIX/Linux Sr. Systems Engineer:- All qualifications above and 6+ years experience Linux or Solaris Systems Administration experience in a production environment.Other Qualifications: Ability to perform systems design, deployment, and support of Internet facing technologies such as e-mail systems, web servers, name servers, and application servers Familiar with EMC Storage Hardware, EMC Control Center, Navisphere, Fiber Channel Networking Thorough knowledge of firewall and load balancer technologies, VMware ESX Server, Veritas Volume Manager or Veritas NetBackup, HP Proliant and Sun SPARC Ability to perform reporting, analysis, monitoring, and troubleshooting using tools such as Operating System utilities and hardware diagnostic utilities Ability to install and perform maintenance on server equipment located in a data center environmenthardwareBenefits:As a part of your total compensation, TDS provides a comprehensive, competitive benefits package.
