GENCO is currently conducting interviews for a Logistics Specialist at our Supply Chain Management operation in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Be part of a team to coordinate and execute the day-to-day inland transportation activities for customers. The Logistics Specialist is a position that addresses customer service related matters and processes transportation transactions. This role will have relationships with both internal and external customers as well as vendors.

The Logistics Specialist is responsible for:
Monitoring and tracking transportation shipments from inception to final delivery.Optimizing transportation shipments for our customers while balancing service and cost using the transportation management system.Communicating effectively with customers, carriers and teammates (phone and email communication).Analyzing and recommending broad based innovative improvement initiatives for the account with a focus on eliminating root causes of recurring issues which leads to driving down costs and/or improving service.Reporting and analyzing key performance indicators.Inputting data accurately and efficiently.

Required Skills


The successful candidate will have:
Relevant transportation/logistics work experience preferred.Proven customer service experience preferred.Basic Microsoft Excel experience strongly preferred.Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop effective customer and teammate relationships.Problem solving skills.Oral/written communication skills.Ability to learn technology quickly. Transportation management system experience preferred.Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Ability to work 3rd shift 10pm-6am.
