Security Officer / Guard F/T at Nice Retail Center
The schedule for this position is Friday-Tuesday from 3PM-11PM and has a starting wage of $15.00/hour.At AlliedBarton, quality starts with our Security Officers. AlliedBarton Security Services has an immediate need for customer focused security officers with a wide range of skills - from the sensitivity to deal with lost children to the ability to respond to and effectively address law enforcement type incidents. Quality Standards - An AlliedBarton Security Officer: * Comes to work; is on time and completes shift assignments (including overtime, if assigned). * Has a neat, professional appearance and comes to work in complete and clean assigned uniform. * Has a friendly and professional demeanor and provides quality customer service. * Is a good communicator (both verbal and written) and is capable of handling both typical and crisis situations efficiently and effectively. * Understands and successfully executes his/her post orders including the enforcement of client rules and regulations, as well as company policies. Basic Job Responsibilities:* Proactively patrol the mall property as instructed.* Provide a highly visible security presence to help deter criminal activity and violation of the client's Code of Conduct and act promptly to address unacceptable behavior.* Seek opportunities to interact with customers and tenants and be friendly, helpful and attentive to enhance their experience at the property. * While on patrol, be alert and identify potential safety hazards, mitigate found hazards, and notify the client of conditions of concern.* Respond to, investigate, and write reports on all incidents and accidents including medical emergencies, fires, alarms, bomb threats, etc. in accordance with the mall's Operating Procedure Manual. Minimum Qualifications: * Must be at least 18 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements. * Must have a high school diploma or GED, or at least 10 years of verifiable employment history. * At least one verifiable employer, prior customer service experience preferred. * No criminal convictions as specified under AlliedBarton guidelines. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for the purpose of public interaction and report writing. * Authorized to work in the United States. * Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. * Negative result on pre-employment drug screen. * Successful completion of Allied's Security Officer Basic Course exam and other Mall Security Training Courses. * Ability to be trained to correctly use handcuffs and pepper spray. * Hold a valid Drivers License. * Ability to patrol mall facility by foot up to a potential distance of eight miles per day. * Ability to maintain satisfactory attendance and punctuality standard. * Neat and professional appearance. * Friendly and professional demeanor. * Ability to provide quality customer service. * Ability to effectively handle typical and crisis situations at the mall.
