Environmental Lab Manager

Lab and Operations Technical Support Manager:
This position reports directly to the Plant General Manager and is responsible for the complex analysis of samples to determine their chemical and physical properties as well as overseeing approval and acceptance of waste chemical materials into the facility. You will manage all lab operations and integration with other departments within the company/facility. You will provide technical support to the operations team to optimize production planning. The successful candidate will be responsible for the calibration and maintenance of all instrumentation, ensure that all paperwork associated with the analysis is completed in a timely fashion, maintain a safe work environment that is in compliance with all state, federal and company regulations and be responsible for all laboratory personal including training, hiring, terminations and performance evaluations.
A Bachelors Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Production Engineering or a related science and a minimum of five years experience in an environmental field (Incinerator or Chemical Treatment plant or hazardous chemical/waste materials laboratory) is required. You must have a very good knowledge of chemistry and an operations mind set. You must have knowledge of RCRA regulations and SW846 methodologies for analysis. You will have good organizational skills, be able to handle multiple tasks, have effective problem solving skills and have computer experience.
