Promotions Manager

The Time Warner Cable Media Sales currently seeks a Promotions Manager to be responsible for large markets. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.


MAJOR FUNCTION:
Manages, develops and implements sales promotions, policies and programs. This position is responsible for marketing initiatives within a portion of the markets for the Ad Sales Region.


• Support Promotions Functional Leader with all promotional initiatives for the region.
• Oversee Promotions Specialists/Coordinators within assigned markets in region with all phases of departmental and client promotions including: concepting promotional ideas, developing proposals, working with local/regional/national suppliers in coordinating promotional collateral materials and make presentations with/without Account Executives.
• Responsible for supporting monthly, quarterly and annual promotional revenue budget for assigned markets within the region.
• Oversee processes/best practices for all assigned Promotion Specialists/Coordinators to follow relative to necessary paperwork including, but not limited to affidavits of eligibility, necessary insurance requirements, legal and/or liability documents and proper safety precautions.
• Oversee process for network affiliate relations with respect to media kits, promotions, presentations, etc..
• Oversee process of promotional prizes/giveaways and handle barter agreements, orders and record keeping, if applicable
• Oversee projects with Interdepartments (Marketing, Public Affairs, etc.).
• Assist Regional Leader of Marketing Services and Regional Sales Leadership with planning, budgeting and forecasting of promotional revenue.
• Oversee the development and coordination processes for production of all in-house/out-of-house media promotional support (i.e., print ads, radio/TV commercials, P.O.P. and artwork) for assigned markets.
• Oversee promotions monthly/quarterly promotional financial reports for assigned markets as well as pre and post P&L's per promotion in order to maintain all budget parameters.
• Develop new promotional revenue streams for existing and non-traditional sales products for the region.
• Responsible for leveraging relationships with networks, working with the Promotions Functional Leader.
• Support Regional Leader of Marketing Services and Regional Sales Leadership with any promotional expansion as directed by Corporate for Advertising Sales.
• Responsible for developing monthly training modules for assigned sales markets to implement as related to Promotions.
• Other duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 5+ years experience in sales promotion (preferably cable), vendor and/or co-op sales, and management experience preferred.
• Bachelors Degree in Marketing and/or Communications preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are needed to successfully communicate with potential and existing clients.
• High level of project planning, development and implementation.
• Ability to organize workflow.
• Must have verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to follow through on multiple tasks.
• Must be willing to travel up to 40%.
