JohnsonDiversey, Inc. (JDI) is seeking an environmental scientist located in Racine, WI  to provide advanced scientific support to our environmental leadership and sustainability programs. Strong leadership for these scientific contributions are critical to our company commitment to reduce health and environmental impact while increasing safety of our customers’ facilities as well as our own. Required technical support will include life-cycle assessment as well as human & environmental hazard evaluation and risk assessment of industrial and institutional cleaning products. Incumbent will partner with product development teams to bring life-cycle thinking to the development of environmentally preferable cleaning products and processes. Additionally, incumbent will support requests from corporate, global and regional marketing groups driven by the rapid growth of JDI customers’ environmental requirements.  Job Requirements: Minimum requirements: ·  Engineering or BA/BS in Toxicology, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry or Biology with 7 to 10 years experience in applicable areas. ·  High level of proficiency in conduct of human and environmental hazard assessments and life cycle assessment of industrial/institutional and/or consumer products ·  Solid understanding of environmental processes, mathematical models and statistics ·  Willingness to expand knowledge of environmental chemistry, human health & environmental toxicology as well as identify external resources to provide specialized support where gaps are identified ·  Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets (MS Word, Excel, etc.) ·  Self starter with sense of urgency, excellent organizational skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, meticulous approach to data preparation, analysis and reporting   Preferred requirements: ·  PhD in Engineering, Toxicology, Environmental Sciences, Chemistry or Biology with 3 to 7 years experience in applicable areas   ·  Expertise in environmental exposure/fate modeling including experience with key regulatory models for exposure assessment  · Experience in human and environmental chemical risk assessment JohnsonDiversey provides a competitive compensation and benefits program to include medical, dental, 401k, life insurance, paid vacations and holidays.
