Vessel Captain

Job Description:

A vessel Captain is to be licensed by the United States Coast Guard and is responsible for the efficient operation of a vessel.

Duties:

*  Accomplishes work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, and coaching crew.

*  Meets work standards by following production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving operational problems; identifying work process improvements.

*  Navigates vessel by plotting course on navigation charts; using navigation aids.

*  Uses and maintains equipment by utilizing radio, sonic depth finder, and radar; following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance; arranging repairs.

*  Maintains records by recording daily activities in vessel log.

*  Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements:

Must hold a minimum U.S.C.G. Master's License of 500 Ton.

Must have 3 to 5 years experience working as Captain onboard a vessel. Experience working as Captain on an Offshore Supply Vessel in the Oil and Gas Industry preferred.
