Job Description A/R Collections Specialist POSTION SUMMARY The Accounts Receviable Collection Specialist is responsible for reporting accounts receivable, managing the balance and collecting past due amounts.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Report accounts receivable and supply internal customers with details regarding customer balances and collections • Collect payments from customers • Work with internal personel and customers to resolve invoicing/payment disputes • Reduce delinquency and improve DSO • Maintain policy and procedures – including SOX compliance MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • 2-4 years of business to business collections or related experience • Prior invoicing & cash application a plusKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Maintains excellent verbal and written communication skills • Relationship building with Thermo business units • Problem definition and analytical problem-solving skills • Accuracy and strong attention to detail • Ability to work independently • Work closely with management on special projects • Proficient in Microsoft ExcelPRE-EMPLOYMENT BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG SCREENING REQUIRED Education: High School/GEDJob Level: Experienced
