Accounting Specialist / Contract Administrator

The Contract Administrator is a revenue accounting specialist who interacts with sales representatives and has experience understanding sales contract requirements in order to ensure they are complete and accurate.  Accounting and contract activities include the following: 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
• Engages in the development and fulfillment of company contract requirements.
• Reviews contracts for completeness and accuracy.
• Responsible for compiling, recording and entering revenue.
• Reviews aged receivable balances and assists Finance, as needed, in the collection process.
• Maintains and balances revenue accounts.
• Assists accounting department with sales reporting and financial statement review.
• Prepares and processes client renewals and helps coordinate sales effort prior to renewal period.
• Acts as a liaison between internal departments (i.e., production, sales, IS, QA, etc.) and the external customer.
• Assists legal staff and senior management in identifying areas of improvement in standard contracts.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in business; paralegal experience or sales admin experience desireable or minimum three years contract admin experience

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
General knowledge of contract accounting requirements. Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers, including sales staff. Good interpersonal, attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.

EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS:
Microsoft Office, emphasis on Microsoft Word and Excel, PCs, financial spreadsheet knowledge desirable
