General Ledger - Staff Accountant

FITCH, the world’s leading consumer centric design and strategy firm, has 16 studios in 10 countries.  We are looking for a solid, hands on, general ledger accountant to handle monthly close process and other financial accounting responsibilities to join our Seattle, Washington studio. 

 

The General Ledger Staff Accountant will be responsible for the following duties:

 Balance Sheet ReconciliationsJournal Entry Preparation (excludes Revenue Recognition)Subsidiary Ledger Maintenance & Reconciliation including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cash Manager, WIPFixed Asset & Depreciation MaintenancePrepare Annual, Quarterly, and Monthly business & Property Tax FilingsReview, Confirm, and Reconcile Intercompany Invoices and ActivityPrepare Monthly Bank Reconciliations

Other functions related to the position:Assist with quarterly Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) package preparationAssist with Cartesis data entry and reportingProvide backup to AP & billing process

 

QUALIFICATIONS/JOB KNOWLEDGE/SKILLSBaccalaureate degree Accounting or FinanceA minimum of three to five years experience preferredExpertise in MS Office SuiteDiverse experience with accounting software - Expertise in Solomon preferredExposure to public accounting (UK or US GAAP) and reportingExperience with consoldiation software - Expertise or exposure to Cartesis preferredPerson must be able to work under tight deadlines and willing to be flexible with work schedulesStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills
