Job Description SAP BW Developer SAP BW Developer Key Responsibilities include:   Participate in the development and support of reporting solutions within Thermo Fisher Scientific, primarily using Thermo’s SAP Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence (BW/BI) application. Work from functional/business requirements to design and develop datasources (install standard datasources, enhance existing datasources and create custom datasources). Work from functional/business requirements to design and develop BW objects (installation of standard objects, enhance existing objects and create custom objects) like info objects, info sources, data targets, transfer rules, update rules etc. Work from functional/business specifications to develop BW reports primarily using BEx.  Integration of SAP BW queries developed using Business Explorer (BEx) and Web Application Designer may be required. Work with the SAP BW team to meet reporting requirements and test the project deliverables. Document test plans and complete Unit Testing of developed objects and reports.  Work with Quality Assurance business resources to complete System and Integration Testing. Communicate with users for business questions, project updates, follow ups, data and report validations, sign offs and for overall support. Analyze and communicate report development issues, including problems with data integrity, data design, and functional and technical software issues. Prepare project related documentation (object designs, business rules, technical information etc) during the different stages of the project. Provide support and maintenance of the existing BW environments (development, quality assurance and production).Qualifications (Education, Experience, Competencies)Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science OR appropriate combination of education and experience. 5-8 years IT experience, a minimum of 3 years with SAP R3 and SAP CRM modules (MM, PP, SD, FICO) is required. 3-5 years experience with SAP BW 3.5 and 7.0 is required. Experience with flat file implementations is required. Knowledge of an ETL tool is a plus. Experience with SAP BW BEx Query Development and SAP BW Web development, is required. Experience with SAP R3 development (ABAP programs, data dictionary objects, infosets, transports etc) is required. Strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills required, as well as communication and interpersonal skills and good organizational skills. Must be committed to provide a high level of customer service to internal clients.   Education: BachelorsJob Level: Experienced
