Project Manager II/III

This role is in the Developer & Platform Evangelism Group (DPE), specifically with the team that manages and oversees the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Royalty (ISVR) Licensing Program. ISV Royalty has been in existence for 10 years mostly focused on managed ISVs.  In January 2007, we launched an internal initiative around Royalty called the Road to a Billion.  Its objective is to grow the ISVR program to the next billion dollar business.  In order to reach this goal we needed a way to reach the more than 70,000 unmanaged ISVS.  The first step is building out a channel to handle ISV Royalty –thus the Indirect Channel. This is a high visibility project with the ability to significantly impact Microsoft’s revenues through our ISV partners.  Goal for the year is to have 10 Indirect partners enrolled and reporting revenue in at least 8 geographies.

 

 

Responsibilities

This role is responsible for Project Management, including:

· Generating monthly ISV Scorecard and other reports, and analyzing for anomalies. 

· Defining, Documenting, and Executing the Indirect ISVRoyalty Rollout to the field and ROCS

· Managing the project plan on day-to-day basis.

· Drive annual ISV Royalty Indirect Review process.

· Drive Microsoft Field personnel (ISV Lead and Transaction Lead) participation, including conducting regular 1:1 calls with the 8 launch sites and prep Tier II sites.

· Managing communications with v team.

· Capture feedback

· Coordinate across selected channel launch partners

· SME to channel partner.

 

This position has frequent contact with internal Microsoft managers and employees in the field and corporate.  There will be some contact with Microsoft Channel Partners

 

Skill Set Required

· Experienced in working cross-group and cross-culture with internal partners to drive achievement of objectives.

· Has firm understanding of customer-facing (ie. Field) roles; ideally has field experience. 

· Adept at working cross-culturally.

· ISV (Independent Software Vendor) industry experience a plus.

· Customer focused and strong communication skills. 

· Results driven, intellectually sharp, a quick learner, understands how to drive results in an international corporate environment, self managing. 

· Project Management skills

· Proficiency using spreadsheets

· Redmond-based with no travel however, work day hours need to be flexible to connect with worldwide team members
