OVERALL

* Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of accounting and financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.







GENERAL LEDGER

* Conduct month-end close and reconciliations 

* Account analyses

* Journal entries

* Bank and account reconciliations

* Update month-end close procedures and financial statements

* Compliance work related to income and sales and use tax

* GL binder production each month with required backup, and review with the Chief Financial Officer.







COST ACCOUNTING

* Analyze and develop inventory costing and systems

* Rreview and reconcile inventories and related transactions

* Manage labor reporting and costing forecasts

* Upgrade existing job cost system







ADDITIONAL

* Participate in company cash management

* Fixed asset accounting

* Participate in the annual CPA audits

* Develop and implement accounting systems and procedures

* Complete special accounting projects as assigned by upper management









REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS 

* Position will report to the Chief Financial Officer

* Position will directly supervise one accountant and one accounting clerk



 

REQUIREMENTS

* BS Accounting or Finance

* At least five years' relevant accounting experience

* Strong Excel ability

* Broad knowledge of accounting systems

* CPA or CMA credential is a plus.
