Financial Reporting Manager (SEC Reporting)

 

Our client, a publicly traded personal services company, is seeking a financial professional to augment their team. The successful candidate will align themselves with organizational goals by accepting ownership as a company stakeholder and explore opportunities to add value to the financial reporting group, as well as the organization.



Candidate Requirements:

· Business degree with emphasis in Accounting.

· CPA (Big 4 Preferred)

· SEC Reporting and technical Accounting experience (minimum 1 year specific experience)

· 4+ years progressive accounting experience in General Accounting and Financial Reporting

 

Responsibilities include: 

· Managing the company's financial reporting process in compliance with statutory filing requirements with respect to preparing and filing 10K, 10Q, and SEC reports.

· Improving the financial reporting process by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes and implementing changes.

· Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging financial reporting practices and accounting standards (SEC, FASB).

· Researching and analyzing technical accounting issues involving complex business transactions (recommend accounting policies, methods, and disclosures).

· Assisting with internal reporting (conversion between financial accounting and managerial accounting).

· Developing working relationships with cross-functional organizations within the company.

· Supporting Sarbanes-Oxley and financial audits.
