Description



This newly created position is an excellent opportunity to join a direct marketing leader in the publishing field, and drive its catalog business via the Internet.  Reporting directly to the VP, Catalog and Book Marekting, the successful candidate is responsible for the merchandising and email marketing management of RDA-Milwaukee's Catalog web sites, including www.countrystorecatalog.com and www.shoptasteofhome.com.



 

Responsibilities:Develop constant flow of new promotional ideas to increase Internet-based business Provide merchandising leadership to sites and email campaigns Work with Creative and Production to write and design effective email communications. Challenge the current active email campaigns on a continual basis to ensure maximum results are achieved Develop and execute email test campaigns on to ensure we are using the most effective subject line, creative design, copy, product, calls to action, etc. Responsible for the growth and hygiene of email database Implement and manage all ancillary/triggered email communications including order and shipment confirmations, welcome messages, and checkout abandonment communications Responsible for the implementation of segmentation and targeting strategies. Responsible for Search Engine Optimization through the use of industry's best practices. Maintain a schedule for merchandising the site's homepage and categories so that site remains fresh Re-Merchandising of these categories is to be based on sales criteria and business trends Increase revenue and conversion rates on site from a Merchandizing perspective Analyze success of upsells and cross-sells; switch out or select product based on analysis Responsible for the creation and distribution of reporting and analysisRequired Skills



Requirements:Ability to develop new Internet-based promotional ideasSound merchandising instinctsStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong database, numbers and data analysis experienceExceptional organizational skills, interpersonal skills and keen attention to detailCreative problem solverStrong understanding of ROI-oriented marketingProficient in MS Office and ExcelFamiliarity with Web Analytics packages (ex: Ominture) is a plus
