Sr. Accountant/Finacial Analyst

Commercial Grounds Care, Inc., a leader in the lawn and garden power equipment industry is seeking a Senior Accountant/Financial Analyst for its Johnson Creek, Wisconsin facility.  This position will be responsible for the monthly closing of the general ledger, consolidation, and reporting financial results.  This position will also support the Controller with corporate financial reporting and modeling, budgeting, forecasting and cost accounting controls. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

 

¨  Support appropriate business groups in establishing and maintaining cost accounting processes and controls

¨  Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L and balance sheet) in accordance to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles within integrated ERP system

¨  Complete balance sheet reconciliation’s of all accounts on a monthly basis

¨  collections

¨  Assist Controller in ensuring timely submission of Johnson Creek’s financial results to corporate for consolidation

¨  Safeguard company assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls

¨  Maintain adequate financial controls by preparing and enforcing company accounting policies and procedures

¨  Prepare monthly financial reports for appropriate business managers both locally and on a corporate level

¨  Analyze inventory data

¨  Assist Controller in the management of year end reviews and audits

¨  Prepares supporting schedules and monthly accrual entries

¨  Reconciles physical inventory with book and investigates variances

¨  Assists in the analysis of operating performance vs. financial plans and forecasts

¨  Develops analysis that supports management decision making process

¨  Analyze P&L and balance sheet variances in trend and actual to budget/forecast reports

¨  Special analyses as needed



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

¨  Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 5+ years of general ledger, cost accounting and financial reporting experience.

¨  Excellent written and oral communication skills.

¨  Strong organizational and interpersonal skills-team player.

¨  Proficient knowledge of integrated ERP systems, Harris Date preferred

¨  Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

¨  Knowledge of manufacturing environment and appropriate systems.

¨  Strong analytical ability to gather and interpret information 

¨  Ability to interact with Management and Corporate offices
