Site Manager

We currently seek a high caliber Site Manager to work on site at a large industrial facility. Based in Ferndale, WA, you will be working for one of the world’s leading engineering, procurement & construction companies.

Description:

 

The Site Manager is the Alliance representative located at the customer plant site and has total responsibility for all Alliance activities at that site. These activities include implementation of the Client Capital Program (funding projections, budget tracking) and the development and execution of capital projects. The Site Manager is responsible for Client relations, communications with plant personnel and bringing other resources to benefit the client. The following are specific responsibilities of the Site Manager, which are to be performed in accordance with Alliance procedures. A. Capital Program: - Working with the Client Plant Manager and Primary Metals Business Unit personnel, manage (develop, execute and update) the plants capital budget and resultant projects. B. Projects - Work with the plant staff to identify areas of capital need within the plant. Develop a business case for the project and develop the project towards full funding. - Assemble a team or teams to execute projects which are funded. - Execute projects to insure scope, cost and time aspects of engineering, procurement, construction and startup are met. - Insure client contractor safety program is followed. - Oversee total project cost performance to insure financial performance achieved meets company thresholds.

 

Requirements:

 

This position requires a Business, Engineering or Construction Management Degree and Plant management/engineering experience including capital program management

 

 • Construction management experience

 • Aluminum or metals experience

 • Business development (project sales) experience

 • Experience working in a matrix organization

 • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

 • Excellent computer skills (MS Office suite of products)

 • Project Management experience (EPCM)

 • Supervisory experience/team leader

 • Intense sensitivity to client needs and concerns

 • Ability to work in an environment of ever changing priorities (to support customer needs)
