Cricket Communications has multiple opportunities for individuals looking to contribute to an organization that rewards your success.Position OverviewRecommend and set meetings to effectively gather information, interpret and prepare monthly journal entries. Journals to be uploaded into the Accounting System, Oracle 11.Prepare monthly account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts. Analyze and interpret financial trends for various income statement and balance sheet accounts. Discuss results with appropriate level of management. Review ongoing operations to ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures. Propose/suggest potential solutions and or opportunities for improvement. Prepare quarterly and year-end audit schedules for external auditors.Responsibilities to include but not limited to:- Creates month end journals.- Evaluates systems transactions for accuracy and proper accounting.- Assure the integrity of transactions and that they are recorded in accordance with GAAP.- Performs/reviews month end Reconciliations and assures accuracy of liability accounts.- Performs various analyses and ad-hoc reporting as needed.- Interacts cross functionally with other departments to provide inventory and costing guidelines.- Advanced Excel skills needed.- Inventory, costing experience, high analytical analysis strongly desired.-CPA desired.-Ability to participate in planned systems migration and integration activities. QualificationsRequires BS/BA in Accounting or Business Administration with AccountingRequires 3+ years progressive accounting experience.Through knowledge of GAAP and high level and detail analysis required.Experience with accounting software packages, month-end-closing process, and reconciliations of general ledger accounts.Strong PC skills required (Microsoft Office Suite – Excel – Power Point), with advanced skills in Excel and data manipulation.Experience with Oracle or other ERP accounting software systems preferred.We are proud to be an EEO/AA employer M/F/D/V.
