Job Status: Full Time, Temporary/Contract/Project Relevant Work Experience: 1+ to 2 Years Job Category: Accounting/Finance/Insurance Contact Information Company: CORESTAFF Services Email: Apply by Email Reference Code: 072908b Job Description Accounts Payable Specialist with Manufacturing Background   Our client, a health care based company is looking for their next Accounts Payable Specialist.  This is a 3 month assignment working for a well established company.  The AP Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the company’s payment processing, from receipt of invoice to check distribution.  The responsibilities of this position include:·  Process vendor invoices by accurately matching to a PO and packing slip.·  Ensure that the general ledger account coding is correct on PO’s and assign appropriate account codes for non-PO invoices.·  Ensure that all non-PO services are covered by an approved contract or agreement.·  Partner with the Purchasing department to reconcile discrepancies between the PO invoice and packaging slips.·  Process employee expense reports in accordance with the company policy.·  Reconcile vendor statements and follow up with suppliers on any variances.·  Process check runs (twice weekly), also prepare manual checks as required.·  Month-end duties include accruing all expenses incurred but not invoiced, reconciling the A/P Aging and Unmatched Receipts to the G/L and ensuring all invoices are entered. Qualifications:·  Must have at least 3 years of AP experience.  ·  2 years experience in a manufacturing environment.·  Solid general accounting skills are required.·  Understanding of CA Sales Tax applicability and 1099 reporting is required.·  Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.·  Willingness to work additional hours in order to meet business needs.·  Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers, ability to work well with all levels of staff.  ·  Must have previous experience in a mainstream business system such as Great Plains, MAS90, Oracle or SAP.  This position is paying $18 per hour.  It’s a 3 month temporary assignment that could go longer.  If you feel like you are qualified, please submit your resume to:  Tina.Nguyen@corestaff.com .
