We are seeking an outstanding Casualty Analyst to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Medical Insurance Industry. Experience with Remedy and Salesforce.com highly preferred but not required. You must have excellent data mining/analysis experience.

Job Description:
Responsible for the design, creation and execution of recurring and ad-hoc business metric reporting for sales, product management, customer service, other departments in the company’s casualty claim clients. Responsible for performing analyses of medical claim data with input from department managers and clients, but also expected to formulate new analyses using experience and creative analytical approaches. Responsible for educating themselves and the team in the existence, definitions and use of various data sources throughout the company's information systems and databases.

Job Responsibilities:Assists in the creation of recurring casualty claim metric reporting. Drives the creation of new types of recurring reporting. Formulate analytical reporting to meet customer needs. Generate on-demand, ad-hoc data analytics on an as needed basis with direction from customers and service/sales management. Work with SIU Departments in creating algorithms suitable in identifying medical fraud and abuse.Prepare documentation (publication quality) for use by customers and organizations interested in casualty claims.Provide ongoing data extraction, manipulation and analysis, with the purpose of translating business questions into information deliverables. Use strong Oracle MS-SQL Access and Excel skills to gather, consolidate and analyze collected data. Identify issues, form hypotheses, design and conduct analyses. Provide analytical information to make business decisions. Format analytical presentations into executive-level presentations. Conduct research to identify new and innovative ways to utilize existing data. Acts as a liason between Sales/Service Operations and the Information Systems group in understanding what types of data are available, where data is stored and how data can be accessed

Requirements:4 - 7 years working experience in data analysis in a business environment. Thorough understanding of MS Office including Access, Excel and Crystal reports. Additional experience with other database systems desired. Remedy or Salesforce.com experience is strongly preferred.Knowledge of medical insurance industry a plus. Strong verbal, written and presentation skills. Self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision. 4-year college degree or equivalent. Focus in business, economics, applied math or computer science a plus.May require 10% to 15% travel.
