Credit Manager / Senior AR Collector
The Credit Manager / Senior AR Collector is responsible for developing credit procedures policy, establishing credit worthiness, managing the Accounts Receivable (AR) Department, and providing guidance and supervision to the AR staff. The jobholder oversees the collection process and the application of cash and credit card payments. In addition he/she makes calls to collect on his/her assigned accounts, the more sensitive accounts, resolves the more complex customer billing problems, and approves all sales credits, memos and refunds.
Primary Responsibilities:Develops and administers credit policies.Investigates credit references to establish credit parameters for new clients.Manages the day-to-day activities of the AR group and prepares performance evaluations.Calls to collect on assigned accounts and the more sensitive accounts.Resolves the more complex customer billing problems.Interfaces with collection agencies for problem collection issues.Reviews accounts receivables aging to determine write-offs at least annually.Reviews sales orders that do not meet credit terms for release or hold.Approves sales credit memos and refunds.Trains new AR personnel.Interfaces with officers, and other departments to resolve billing issues.Meets with customers to review accounts as needed.Maintains company records.Insures SAP system is kept updated with accounts receivable information.
Requirements:Computer literate Excellent spreadsheet and word processing skills. SAP experience a plus.2 years minimum successful experience as a Credit Manager. Customer Service experience.Ability to negotiate in a pleasant and professional manner.Good telephone skills.
