ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
The position reports directly to the director of software development, and will have one or more functional reports within the QA team.
The QA team in general will interact heavily with software developers, product managers, and support personnel, requiring strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be assertive in support of quality software.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Four or more years of experience in QA engineering for software development.
· Two or more years of QA leadership experience.
· Experience with at least one automated testing technology.
· Some knowledge of enterprise and embedded software concepts and demonstrably good engineering intuition.
· Excellent written communication skills for writing complete, concise test plans and bug reports.
· BS or MS in a technical field is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate will also meet these criteria:
· Demonstrated trustworthiness, diligence, and attention to detail.
· Knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL.
· Knowledge of development languages and technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Perl, or Java.
