MANAGER of TAX
Woodland Hills company seeks a MANAGER of TAX.Typical Functional Responsibilities:Under direct supervision, prepare and review GAAP & Statutory tax accruals for companies with moderate complexity. Responsibilities may include the following:-Review Federal estimated tax & extension payment computations for all assigned companies for inclusion in Consolidated Tax Return payments and extensions. Including the analysis of actual activity to projected year end determining validity of variances.-Review/Prepare separate company GAAP & Statutory tax accruals for all assigned companies as well as prepare the tax rate analysis.-Provide necessary supporting documents to the Tax Department for the preparation & filing of federal and state income tax returns.-Reconcile actual current tax to current tax accrual.-Maintain the FASB 109 & SSAP 10 deferred inventories.-Contact appropriate accounting staff and request basic accounting data.-Respond to notices from taxing authorities & assist in year-end reconciliations.Position Requirements: Knowledge and Skills:--P.C. knowledge and skills including MS Windows & spreadsheets (MS Excel) and word processing software (MS Word).--Oral & written communication skills.--Knowledge of accounting terminology, concepts, practices & procedures. Typical Minimum Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience, and 5 - 7 years tax or tax accounting or financial reporting experience. CPA and/or Master’s degree in taxation preferred.
