Manager, Government Compliance (needed ASAP)

Dynamic Global Technology Solutions Government Contractor Headquartered in Rockville, MD is looking for a Compliance Specialist.  Manager, Government Compliance   The candidate will be responsible for directly supporting DCAA's audit of the company as well as ensuring the compliance with all applicable financial based Government rules and regulations, including the CAS, FAR and DFARS. Position Responsibilities: - Act as a key interface with the Government (i.e., DCMA/DCAA) regarding Government compliance and support related matters. - Manage a team of Compliance & Support Specialists who will directly support DCAA audit requests. - Coordinate and manage the preparation of required regulatory submissions within the timeframe mandated by the Government, such as the annual incurred cost submission, forward pricing rates, Disclosure Statement, etc. - Provide audit support to DCAA; analyze accounting records and processes and make recommendations for control/process improvements based upon audit results. - Identify and solve problems proactively; exercise a high degree of initiative in the performance of assigned responsibilities.- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business - Relevant work experience in Government finance or audit commensurate with position responsibilities - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Strong analytical and problem solving skills - Ability to independently complete multiple time-sensitive tasks - Knowledge and expertise in the CAS/FAR and financial system adequacy criteria; particularly in the areas of: - Cost accounting practice changes - Disclosure Statement requirements - FAR Part 31 cost principles - Incurred cost submission and forward pricing rate development For immediate consideration, please send your resume in MS Word format directly to: valerienajar@mergisgroup.com    Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
