The company operates 430+ stores in 45 states. The Company was established in 1928 and offers a comprehensive high-quality assortment of brand name sporting apparel and equipment at competitive prices.  MANAGEMENT & REPORTING STRUCTUREReports directly to the Manager of Operational/Systems Audit and/or the Director of Operational/Systems Audit.  POSITION DESCRIPTIONResponsible for auditing assigned store locations to measure various operational compliance objectives set forth under corporate policies, procedures, and directives. Contributes to the protection of company assets by assisting with the training and development of store personnel throughout the audit process.   PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES  Executes required and assigned audits timely. Re-caps, communicates and distributes audit results at the time of audit completion and in accordance with company standard. Promotes awareness of asset protection policies, procedures and directives during the audit process. Evaluates current audit practices and asset protection policies and procedures for needed updates and/or changes and submits suggestions to management. Identifies and develops best practices for audit and asset protection related areas. Submits new and innovative ideas to enhance job functions and asset protection practices. Provides assistance to Field Asset Protection upon request. Responsible for other duties as assigned or developed. PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS   1-3 years experience in asset protection, store operations or retail auditing. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Criminal Justice and/or equivalent relevant experience. Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook and experience using a PC required. Ability to solve problems in situations where most issues have occurred before and their solutions are familiar. Ability to compose sensitive, confidential, and/or non-routine correspondence requiring tact and diplomacy and/or complex reports or summaries for which established formats generally do not exist.
