Autonomous Engineer/DARPADescription: As today's motor vehicles and heavy equipment become increasingly complex, manufacturers of trucks and industrial equipment need top-notch engineers who can guide their design and development. Our client is a world-class leader in this field and is looking for high-performing engineers like you to bring your skills and experience to conceptualizing, developing and designing the process improvement strategies needed by their suppliers. By assessing supplier capability, developing improvement plans, and managing these processes, you will ensure that suppliers continually exceed production goals. Our customer has an immediate need for an engineer to serve as a field of Machine Automation: Software Architecture and Development, Electronic Component and System Design, Controls, Proactive Reliability Development, and Testing. The successful candidates will be designing, implementing, and validating systems and software for automating world-leading heavy equipment. The ideal candidate will have been a leader or strong contributor to a DARPA program Urban Challenge. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS LOCATED IN CENTRAL ILLINOIS. THOSE CANDIDATES WILLING TO RELOCATE ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. Requirements: Minimum Candidate must have a BS in Electrical, Agricultural, Mechanical, or Computer Engineer or equivalent experience. Good planning, communication, customer focus, and analysis (troubleshooting) skills are required. Desirable qualifications include: Ability to use computer based diagnostic tools and testing equipment; Understanding of C programming and control theory as well as background in embedded controllers; Greenbelt CPI Experience; Experience with Machine Products or Diagnostics.
