Senior Petroleum Engineer/Operations Manager

 

Fast growing Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Company is seeks a highly skilled Senior Petroleum Engineer/Operations Manager for their Appalachian District. Person will work out of the Charleston West Virginia Office.  Email resume and salary requirements to recruit@primeenergy.com  .

 

Job Scope: Provide direction and supervision of field operations so as to optimize production and minimize expenses while maintaining a safe environment. Improve efficiency of operations and while seeking to grow district production.

 

Experience and Skills Required: Min. 10 years of experience in natural gas operations in WV, with 5+ years of supervisory experience Hands on field experience in completion, stimulation, production, and workover operations a must.  Drilling experience a plus.Strong working knowledge of completion, stimulation and lift operations, including: rod pump, gas lift, and other artificial lift College Graduate, BS, PE - Preferred

Duties & Responsibilities: Implement Standard Operating Procedures and Safety Policies - making health, safety and environmental stewardship key priorities for all district employeesDay to day planning and supervision of district employees Responsible for directing efficient activities and ensuring qualityHire employees and provide orientation, on-the-job training, and disciplineMake recommendations and maintain inventory of field and well improvementsPurchase and properly maintain all equipment Plan, coordinate and supervise all rig, stimulation, production, and field maintenance operationsCoordinate the safe and timely movement of equipment Design surface facilities and artificial lift equipmentResponsible for governmental and regulatory filing and reporting requirementsMaintain good relations with land owners, regulators, etc.Adhere to company policies and procedures, and maintain a satisfactory driving recordProcure equipment and well partsBid out field work and prepare AFEsReview and be sure all invoices are properly coded and processed

Compensation/Bonus awards:  Compensation will be commensurate with experience.  A discretionary bonus, based on performance, may be paid at year end subject to Compensation Committee approval.
