Responsible for selling cable and communication solutions for assigned area by promoting the features, benefits and value of Charter products and services.  Achieve revenue and customer goals by developing and maintaining strong relationships with both current and prospective customers.  Sales to customers will be based on a product speciality with a focus on sales of products of a highly complex, technical  nature. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION Contribute to the Company vision of being the industry leader in customer service throughquality, commitment, courtesy and teamworkSolicits customers through door-to-door contact and explains and sells specialty services available to subscribersIdentify, qualify and develop positive, professional relationships with prospective clients May also develop new revenue from existing customers by adding new / additional services or upgrades  Complete all necessary paperwork to support sales activities including sales orders, sales agreements, billing forms and sales reports in a manner consistent with quality control guidelines Maintains minimum sales quotas and writes orders for installation of specialty services; may collect and account for fundsPerform connects (reconnects), upgrades and downgrades and equipment installation while on the client site May be required to follow up on delinquent accounts and remove equipment Performs at a level to acquire the maximum number of customers within assigned area served to achieve market penetration objectives   Occasionally performs subscriber audits of unauthorized connections for the purpose of obtaining leads    Attend and participate in sales meetings as established by managementPerform other duties as requested by supervisorPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A.  Skills/Abilities and KnowledgeKnowledge of cold call sales skillsAbility to communicate orally and in writing in clear and straightforward manner  Ability to maintain confidentiality   Ability to deal with the public in a professional mannerAbility to maintain high level of self-motivationAbility to maintain favorable relations with subscribers, vendors and employees within the service area Knowledge of communications technologies and services, with an emphasis on specialty services such as Telecommunications products, data networking fundamentals, and other specialty services of a technical and complex nature Ability to prioritize and organize effectively  Ability to use personal computer and software applicationsAbility to use hand tools in the reconnection of cable serviceKnowledge and ability to perform reconnect installations at time of sale  Vision ability: close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focusB.  Education (level and type)High School diploma required.  Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience desired.C.  Related Work Experience                                             Number Of YearsSales or customer service experience                               1D.  Certifications and/or LicensesValid driver's license with a satisfactory driving recordWORKING CONDITIONSOffice environment and / or outside environment with exposure to inclement weather Exposure to moderate noise levelsMay be required to wear a uniform or shirt with a corporate logo Send This Link To A Friend
